If you are a Halo fan, you will enjoy Halo 4. Underwhelming as that sounds, it is actually Halo 4’s single greatest triumph. With a new development team at the helm, absolutely nothing can be certain. We really didn’t know if 343 Industries would be able to follow in Bungie’s footstep’s and deliver a game worthy of the Halo title. But they have, and that is a really big deal.

Halo 4 stands as a strong contribution to one of gaming’s greatest franchises. But it is not without its flaws. The “Halo” name is a sword that cuts both ways. It brings with it extraordinary expectations. More often than not, Halo 4 meets those expectations. However, the few areas where the game falters are starkly noticeable by contrast. While the majority of the game carries itself with confidence, there are some reminders that this is a new team making their very first Halo game.
